Shala-Phiri

SHALA-PHIRI

A shawl cloth made in Kashmir of second quality pashmina wool (see Phiri). The fabric is 54-in. wide and about 4 yards long. The wool used is that which is left after removing the soft pashmina. Shala Chahar Hashiadar has four borders. Shala Dohashiadar has a double border. Shala Hashiadar is edged by a single border.
